The tale starts - It is 1962 and Tracy has hopes of featuring on the local TV dance show, The Corny Collins Show, but is told no, it won’t happen. Yet, Tracy proves people wrong and after getting a role in the show with her spunky boldness and swinging hips and becoming a local icon overnight. But she realizes that there are prejudices in her hometown that she cannot tolerate. What will unfold when Tracy and her pals and family fight against the wrongs in their hometown?
