The show begins - It is 1962 and Tracy has hopes of appearing on the local TV dance show, The Corny Collins Show, but is met with no, it can’t happen. Yet, Tracy proves people wrong and after getting a role in the show with her plucky attitude and swinging hips and becoming a celebrity overnight. But she realizes that there are prejudices in her hometown that she cannot stand by. What will unfold when Tracy and her pals and family stand up to the injustices in their home?
