Throughout the musical, we see Sophie getting to know the three men and becoming even more unsure of herself. 

Meanwhile, Sophie's mother reconnects with her old bandmates from Donna and the Dynamos, and the women reminisce about the good ‘ole days while talking about what life looks like all these years later.
